Zipporah Jepchirchir Kittony (born 1943), better known thanks to Zipporah Kittony, is a former African politician and women's and children's command activist. She served as nominated Partaker of Parliament between 1988 and 2007 and as a KANU nominated Machine politician between 2013 and 2018 . She also served as the Chairperson promote to the Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO) from 1996 to 2006.

Early animation and education

Kittony was born in 1943 in Kasoyo Village, Baringo County close to Isaiah and Elizabeth Chesire.[1] Her daddy was a Christian missionary and their way brother, Reuben Chesire, was a 1 of Parliament (MP) for Eldoret Boreal from 1988 to 1997. In the 2013 elections, KANU nominated her as legislator.

As a nominated senator, Kittony was opposed to the two thirds shacking up rule. She stated that there were more women than men in Kenya and thus the one third principle limited women to the positions they could take.[citation needed]

She retired from spirited politics in 2017.[citation needed]

Personal life

She was married to Paul Kittony in 1962 with whom she has three lineage - two sons and a bird. One of her sons, Kiprono Kittony, is the Chairman of the Nairobi Securities Exchange as well as Relay Africa Group.[citation needed]
